iSSH SSH / VNC Console – @iPad365
It’s Saturday and that means wild card. We pick from a grab bag of apps and talk about something that you might find useful on a Saturday. If you know of an app that falls under this category, feel free to Twitter @ipad365 or email [email protected] You can also make your own iPad review and send the video my way. I’ll put it on the show!
iSSH SSH / VNC Console
This is an app? Yes. For those IT admins that might not want to get out of bed.
Picture this: You are in your bed, ready to enjoy a lazy Saturday. you have a bowl of Lucky Charms and the TV is on Cartoons. All of a sudden you get a call – someone who doesn’t know the meaning of “A day off” cannot get into the work system.
What do you do?
That is where the iSSH SSH/VNC Console app comes in. It’s a Secure Shell application, so you can connect remotely up to your work servers and fix problems that could arise. You need to set up options to tunnel and VNC in, but once that is done, you could remote desktop into a server, tunnel to an X-Server, telnet emulate into a VT100, 102, 220 or ANSI terminals, and fix the problem. Even if you are on 3G connections.
The iSSH SSH/VNC Console is $9.99, but if you want to have a lazy Saturday as an IT admin, this would be worth it!
We’ll have more apps this week as we ramp up to the new show iPad365.
